Just because you have to rush out the door in the morning doesn’t mean you don’t have time for a really, realllllly good breakfast – I promise! This bowl of oats its better than your average thanks to the delicious combo of apple, maple, and pecans BUT it still comes together in a flash because you cook everything in your microwave! The whole bowl comes together from start to finish is about 7-8 minutes. Still don’t have time for that?! Make it the night before and reheat whenever you’re ready to eat! 5 WW SmartPoints on both the Blue and Green WW plans for this delicious, hearty bowl.
I had been making this apple pecan and oat combo for a good while and then one morning it hit me – add a drizzle of maple syrup on top! O.M.G. It took my bowl of oats to a whole new level! I have no idea why it took me so long to think of drizzling syrup on my oats, I aammmm obsessed with all things maple after all. You seriously have to try it!
For this breakfast you start off with a basic bowl of microwaved oats. Simple, yeah?! Next you make a batch of my Ooey Gooey Microwave Apples and toss it right on top of your oats. Add a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup (I use Joseph’s maple syrup), a splash of almond milk, and some chopped pecans (or walnuts!). Your basic bowl of microwaved oats has now transformed into a cozy, hearty breakfast that is perfect for any weekday!
One serving of my Apple, Maple, & Pecan Oatmeal comes to 5 WW SmartPoints on both the Blue and Green WW plans – enjoy!
Here’s the link to the apples you’ll need for this recipe.

- 1 c water
- pinch of salt
- few dashes of cinnamon, if desired
- 1 serving of my Ooey Gooey Microwave Apples, prepared (linked above)
- 1 tbsp sugar free syrup
- 6 g pecan pieces (can sub walnuts if preferred)
- 2 tbsp unsweet almond milk
- Prepare oats: In a microwave safe bowl mix together oats, water, pinch of salt, and a few dashes of cinnamon, if desired. Microwave for 2½ - 3 minutes, until oats are cooked. Stir and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Top with Ooey Gooey Apples, pecans, syrup, and almond milk. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes: If you like your oatmeal to be sweet feel free to add one packet of sweetener before cooking. I think the apples make it perfectly sweet!
