Here’s a fun meal idea using my Crockpot Apple Butter! These sweet and savory breakfast sandwiches take about 5 minutes to put together so they’re great for weekend mornings.
I have to confess I’ve been eating them every single morning this week but really, can you blame me?! There’s just something about the sweet and spicy apple butter paired with salty, crunchy bacon that I can get enough of!
Simply toast up an English muffin (I buy Thomas light English muffins which are 3 Weight Watchers Smart Points), top it with an egg (any style!), a piece of crispy bacon (1 Weight Watchers Smart Point), and a couple of tablespoons of my apple butter. So easy and just 4 Blue WW SmartPoints/6 Green WW SmartPoints! You can also substitute a sausage patty for the bacon or add a slice of ham or Canadian bacon- all great combos!
I grew up eating a spoonful of my grandma’s apple butter on top of homemade biscuits with sausage gravy – combos like this run near and dear to my heart so I hope you will love it as much as I do! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
- 1 English muffin, toasted
- 1 slice of bacon, cooked (or use your favorite turkey sausage, ham, or Canadian bacon)*
- 1 egg, cooked any style
- 2 tbsp apple butter (link posted above)
- Toast an English muffin and spread with a couple spoonfuls of apple butter. Top with cooked egg and bacon.
- Enjoy!
